December 7th – BELL RINGING
WCL volunteers will assist with the annual Salvation Army Bell ringing at the Publix Supermarket on Hwy 27 and 48. Volunteers are still needed for afternoon hours. Please call Jane Ward to volunteer.
December 7thth – LEESBURG CHRISTMAS PARADE
Get ready for the holidays by participating with WCL members in the annual Leesburg Christmas Parade. Please call Darlene Violeta for details.
THIS WILL BE OUR LAST MEETING AT THE SALVATION ARMY BUILDING.
The December 9th meeting promises to be a huge, fun event. Wear your Christmas colors, pictures will be taken! Our Arts Committee has gone all out to make this a memorable occasion. Christmas pictures will be taken of each member, the newly formed WCL Choir will lead the caroling. Sign in and socializing 10:00, Meeting 10:30, Lunch 12:00: Baked ham, sweet potato casserole, green beans, salad, and dessert, cost $10. Members who would like to pay for lunches for the rest of the fiscal year may bring a check for $60 covering December thru May. No refunds will be made for missed meetings.

COOKIE EXCHANGE: If you wish to participate in this fun exchange, please bring a dozen homemade cookies and an empty container to take home the cookies you select.
GIFTS FOR THE LEESBURG HUMANE SOCIETY: President’s charity this year is the Leesburg Humane Society. If you can, please bring items from their wish list: bleach, laundry detergent, paper towels, cleaning supplies (stuff that smells good), cat litter (scoopable and clay), canned cat food (Friskies, 9 Lives, Fancy Feast pate or classic types), dry cat food (Purina indoor green bag or Purina Cat Chow blue bag.) kitten food (Purina Kitten Chow yellow bag), canned dog food and treats.
GUARDIAN AD LITEM GIFTS: Those of you who selected gift tags from the Guardian Ad Litem office, please note: Place wrapped gifts in a garbage bag along with a copy the card and tie the bag shut with the original card on the outside of the bag.
Pecan Pick Up:
Pecans are ready to pick up at the meeting! If you placed an order for nuts, please bring a check made to GFWC Woman’s Club of Leesburg. There are a few bags available for those who did not order them. Beth and Jane will bring them to the meeting.

WCL Choir: The choir will be singing at the Mayfield Home, December 12th at 1:30 pm. The choir will sing and present beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments our members made this past month.

January 13th - GFWC Woman’s Club of Leesburg Member Meeting – Venetian Gardens January's speaker is Laura Perdomo from Peacock Cottage. She will be demonstrating how to make a fairy garden. She will bring supplies with her if anyone is interested in making their own.
January 20th – Make Valentine Cards to send to our Troops.
February 7th – Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon SAVE THE DATE!
Day in the Park WCL received a letter and certificate from the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County thanking us for our participation in the 16th annual “A Day in the Park.” WCL members were among 138 volunteers.
REMEMBER: DECEMBER WILL BE OUR LAST MEETING AT THE SALVATION ARMY BUILDING.
JANUARY 13TH MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE NEW VENETIAN GARDENS FACILITY.
